Uganda Restricts Ebola Close Contact Travel

The Republic of Uganda's Ministry of Health issued a Twitter post today clarifying in a press release that all contacts to Sudan Ebolavirus confirmed cases are not allowed to travel locally or internationally for 21 days.

Ebola infection symptoms can start within 2-21 days of contact with an Ebola-infected person. If you experience symptoms, call 0800-100-066 immediately.

The U.S. Embassy in Kampala recentlyOthera Health Update advising people to defer non-essential travel to the Mubende and Kassanda districts in Uganda.

As of October 28, 2022, Uganda reported 109 Sudan Ebolavirus cases and 30 related fatalities.
