Thailand Travel Vaccines July 2025

In Southeast Asia, including India, Aedes mosquito-borne arboviruses impose significant public health burdens. The UK government identifies health risks when visiting Thailand in 2025, including Zika, Typhoid, Measles, Malaria, Dengue, and Chikungunya. As of July 2025, various travel vaccines are recommended for individuals visiting Thailand in 2025.

Thailand Travel Advisories 2025

The Tourism Authority of Thailand reported international tourist arrivals have surpassed 35 million in 2024.

As of June 2025, the UK Foreign Travel Advice advises against all but essential travel to parts of Thailand near the Thailand-Malaysia border. On June 9, 2025, the U.S. Department of State updated its Level 1 travel advisory for Thailand to reflect a lower travel advisory level for some provinces in Thailand. However, visitors should Exercise Increased Caution when visiting Yala, Pattani, Narathiwat, and Songkhla provinces due to civil unrest.

Chikungunya in Thailand

Chikungunya (320 cases) is localized to the south of Thailand in 2025.

Dengue in Thailand

As of April 30, 2025, a total of 10,992 dengue cases and ten dengue-related deaths have been reported. This represents 39% of the number of cases (n = 28,371) and 30% of the number of deaths (n = 33) reported similarly in 2024.

Rabies in Thailand

As of July 2025, a total of seven deaths from rabies have been reported: Chonburi, Sisaket, Chachoengsao, Nakhon Ratchasima (two cases), Tak, and Rayong during 2025. This is three times more than the number of deaths reported for the same period in 2024. 

Zika in Thailand

As of July 2025, Thailand reported 7 cases of Zika virus in 2025, in the following provinces: Nakhon, Ratchasima, Buriram, Chaiyaphum, and Surin. Thailand does not plan to offer access to a Zika vaccine in 2025.
