Colombia Yellow Fever

As of September 2025,  yellow fever cases in the Republic of Colombia continue to increase. Between 2024 and 2025, 132 cases have been recorded, resulting in 57 deaths, in the following departments: Tolima, Huila, Cauca, Nariño, Putumayo, Caldas, Meta, Vaupés, Guaviare, and Caquetá.

Colombia Dengue Fever

The U.S. CDC included Colombia in its Global Dengue Fever outbreak Travel Health Advisory issued on July 17, 2025. 

Colombia Measles

On May 28, 2025, Colombia was included in the U.S. CDC's Global Measles Advisory. All international travelers should be fully vaccinated against measles with the measles-mumps-rubella vaccine, according to the CDC's measles vaccination recommendations for international travel.

Colombia Oropouche

On July 14, 2025, Colombia reported a low number of cases of Oropouche. Colombia was included in the U.S. CDC's Level 1 - Practice Usual Precautions advisory. Oropouche is spread primarily through the bites of infected midges and mosquitoes.

Colombia Travel Advisories

On April 17, 2025, the U.S. Department of State updated its Level 3: Reconsider Travel advisory for Colombia, citing ongoing civil unrest in various areas of the South American country. Visitors should not travel to the Arauca, Cauca (excluding Popayán), and Norte de Santander departments due to concerns about crime and terrorism. The U.S. Embassy posted a similar alert for the Valle del Cauca Department in August 2025.
